ZeroHungerAI privacy notice

Last updated: September 8, 2026. This page describes how the current application handles information for donor and recipient workflows.

Information we handle

Donors and recipients may provide account and authentication information through the configured authentication provider, profile details, donation and food-listing information, food photographs, availability windows, and pickup-related details. Donor-reported listing information is used to show nearby recipients what food may be available.

Location privacy

Public listing discovery uses approximate public location information so recipients can understand pickup areas before claiming. Exact private pickup locations and handoff contact details are intended to become accessible only through authorized claim and pickup flows.

AI-assisted processing

ZeroHungerAI uses AI-assisted decision support for features such as photo-assisted listing review and prioritization. AI output assists people; it does not certify freshness, hygiene, safety, dietary suitability, or availability.

Storage, sessions, and logs

The application uses essential storage and sessions for authentication, preferences such as low-data mode, and operational use. Operational and security logs may be kept to protect the service and diagnose issues, but submitted message bodies and contact details should not be written to standard application logs.

Contact, support, and report submissions

Contact, Support, and Report submissions may be stored for operational follow-up and processed through a transactional email provider. The private destination inbox is read from backend configuration and is not shown to visitors.

Retention and deletion

Data is retained as needed for account, listing, claim, safety, moderation, and operational purposes. To request deletion or review of information associated with you, submit a privacy inquiry through Contact. Some records may need to be retained where needed for safety, integrity, audit, or legal reasons.

Privacy concerns

Submit a privacy concern through Report a concern or send a privacy inquiry through Contact. For safety practices, read Trust & Safety.
